Since our inception in 2006 African Basketball (ABO) has impacted over 50,000 underpriviledged youth in developing communities in Africa.

MISSION AFRICA

ABO uses the basketball camps and coaches’ clinics as a tool to: (1) motivate participants (boys and girls ages 8-21) to attend, stay in school, and further their education after completion of their primary education. (2) Promote gender equality, and empower women by the inclusion of girls from the communities at every ABO Leadership & Basketball Camp. (3) Promote HIV/AIDS Awareness.

The ABO’s Mission Africa team members have extensive experience in planning, organizing, and leading African Basketball mission projects. These experiences have created learning opportunities and collaboration with some of the most experienced leaders in the sports communities. We use these experiences to develop training materials to maximize our volunteers’ time, energy, and efforts.
